The  Johnstown Historical Society in Johnstown, Ohio
supports, encourages, and provides historical education and preservation for the Johnstown community. 

The Johnstown Historical Society (JHS) is a nonprofit, 501(c) (3) organization committed to researching the history of Johnstown, and collecting, preserving, and exhibiting objects and documents from the past.

on the 1st and 3rd Sunday 
​(2:00-4:00 pm)

We Meet
​The Johnstown Historical Society offers a variety of ways for visitors, friends, historians and school groups to join us. Check out the options below.

Monthly Meetings
​
Date: 2nd Monday of each month
Time:    7:00PM

Location:  Town Hall, 1 S. Main St. 
​Open Houses 
Date: 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month
Time: 2:00 - 4:00 pm.

Note: Self guided tours are available during our open houses. Donations appreciated.

Private Tours
Schedule a tour of our museum and learn about Johnstown's history. 
Cost: $5 per person

We Preserve
The society maintains two of Johnstown's most historic properties, the Town Hall and the Johnstown Jail. They also sponsor the Discovery Trail at the Mastodon Preserve.​
